I enjoyed this. My person suggested this series to me, and I am glad of it. I liked how Eragon defeated the enemy. I thought some of the resolutions at the end were neat (although the ending after the fall of Galbatorix was overlong) and I'd like to revisit the world a hundred years from the end of this novel to see how the world has changed and grown. I have to admit that during the first 50 to 100 pages, I kept asking myself why I was reading this clunky crap. The writing style did not engage me and I found it awkward at various times. After making it past the initial 50 to 100 pages, I was finally pulled into the story and was eager to read the next page.
