What Members Thought

Everyone in this world is bipolar.
All of the main characters in this novel were emotionally labile. Every conversation was a soul-shaking, extra significant, jaw-dropping, stomach-churning, cliché-filled angst-fest. I was perpetually rolling my eyes.
I was never able to get in to the world, the writing was so melodramatic. Shame, because there was a fairly novel idea at the core of this apocalyptic fantasy, but the mechanisms of the magic system became the centerpiece of the story. Not enough the ...more
