What Members Thought

We all have those books that we read that we can hardly put down, the ones that consume our thoughts when we aren't reading them and stay with us long after we have finished them. The ones that ruin all other books for us because, they will never be as good as the one we just put down. This book? This book was that book for me.
I had read other reviews about this book, saw lots of 5 star ratings and thought to myself, "oh no, not another one of those books that will never live up to all the hype. ...more

"Anna and the French Kiss" took me by complete surprise. It's definitely one of the better YA chick-lit romances I've read, considering its charming, well-rounded cast, intriguing protagonist voice, and vivid cultural setting. It's cute, romantic, and hilarious in spurts, and other times explores the painful sides of love, flaws, and coming of age moments for the respective teen characters. I loved this book. I can't tell you how many ways I loved this book. Let's talk about Anna she has a pleasant voice that makes the book very easy to read. I also loved how the relationship between Anna and St. Clair developed throughou ...more

Cross-culture communication should be taken very seriously! It's the Best example of cultural diversity and God! the same gesture in one culture means friendship and in other love !! Update: When I first read this book in 2011, I was 17 years-old and I loved this book to pieces. I didn't really take the time to acknowledge all of the issues with this book but I feel like it's important for me to do so now. I lowered my star rating and removed my original review.
