Thank you Stjepan for a great recommendation :)

Heart-breaking, tragic story. Seductive, beautiful style of narration. Shockingly scary secrets. Alluring, lonely characters. I found this in The Shadow of the Wind. This book is really multilayered and my review won’t be able to express the awesomeness of this book. It’s a haunting fairytale about romance, love, revenge, friendship, mystery, intrigue, wit and 1 book that can change life. It was a gripping, creepy, interesting and a very imaginative

So I knew that this book was going to be slow. But having to slog through 300 pages to finally get the plot moving is obnoxious, especially when this is a 500 page book.

We follow Daniel, who finds a book in a super secret place (The Cemetery of Forgotten Books) when he's 10 and becomes obsessed with finding more about the author.

This book is truly special. A gothic coming of age story with characters that leap off the page and a thrilling plot. The first chapter set up the wonderful premise of a cemetery where forgotten books are kept and just spring boarded from there.

There was a spooky, supernatural feel but nothing too non-sensical just an understanding that the characters were being somewhat guided by otherworldly forces. This feeling of fate and dread just builds until you are shouting at the protagonist to get ou

I know, I took a long time to read this book but I can say that this is really a great mixing of Love and Mystery.
In the end, it became so interesting that I couldn't stop myself reading it at any time.
