When I first picked up the Angel Experiment, the first book in the Maximum Ride series, I thought it was one of the most excellently written, heart-wrenchingly involving books I've ever read, if you get what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I still think that. But the fact is that, what started out as a runaway life of six children with lots of jokes and get-together's has somehow morphed into an all-out hide-away life of six almost-teenagers with lots of leaving, new characters all-of-a-sudden, and ...more
