I really wish I discovered these books when I was younger. I would have loved them as a high schooler. I read a lot of YA books nowadays but this series just seems really heavy on the young. Mia sort of bothers me as she complains about the same little things over and over again. I really hate her best friend Lily.

This was a short read but I think I will drop this series. My library doesn't have any more of the audiobooks anyway. I was going to keep going because of the new book that Meg Cabot

I thought that this book brought to light the fact that every person (or at least every teenage girl) goes through some sort of angst. But at least most girls do not have to find themselves during a time when they have to become something they never thought that they would be. It is also proof that even with a fictional character like Mia there are some threads of truth in what happens inside a girl's head even when they do not want to let it out. ...more
