This is my first time reading The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz. Shocking! I am so glad I read it. It really is a wonderful tale. Full of great characters and plots. Baum creates a wonderful world. I will for sure be carrying onto the other novels in the series.
I am glad too that in the book Oz is not a dream. I can't stand when books/movies do that. You go the whole way only to find out it was all fake! The silver shoes in the book/red shoes in the movie has alw ...more

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz este prima carte din seria Oz, o serie care cuprinde nici mai mult, nici mai puțin de 14 cărți. Recomand seria în primul rând copiilor, dar să știți că dacă sunteți adulți și vreți să vă retrăiți copilăria, merită să o citiți.Eu am citit această carte în limba engleză, având zic eu un curaj enorm. Am citit doar câteva cărți cap-coadă în engleză și am preferat să aleg dintre cele mai accesibile.

Sometime to go back and enjoy pure imagination for the sake of it.

Love, love, loved this book! I adore L. Frank Baum's writing style, and subtle political inserts all throughout the Oz series. I also wonder how long it's going to take for present day film makers attempt to make this into a movie again?
