The Count of Monte Cristo is a proof that a door-stopping book is not synonymous with boring. M. Alexandré Dumas pére is a master in pacing the story so it does not rambling unnecessary nor it does not left the important details. If you are unable to reading the book in French proficiently, I suggest to read the Buss translation. It's modern and readable one. ...more
