This is pretty fantastic! LOTR is completely new to me and I've thoroughly enjoyed myself so far.
I specifically read this along with a fan-made audiobook @ https://tokybook.com/lord-rings-audio... which is the best audiobook I've EVER listened to and I REALLY recommend it to anyone that wants to read this series.
The characters were fantastic. Yes they walk a lot and there's a boring deliberation chapter (approx 40 pages) in the middle but apart from that, it's a 5/5 experience.

I bought these books when I was a kid and the LOTR movies were coming out in theaters. However, I never had the attention span to really read them. Recently, I read The Hobbit and didn't find it difficult to read, so I decided to try reading The Fellowship of the Ring.

This was only my second time read this, after many many times viewing it.
The book is far superior in every, though jackson delivered a great movie, and i loved all the things i forgot due to the movie.
4/5
