I love Oscar Wilde's writing, even with such a strange concept as this book. Perfectly beautiful Dorian Gray doesn't age or show physical signs of his poor life choices; instead, the secrets of his innerself manifest on the face of his infamous picture. A peacock of a book. In between the fin-de-siecle shopping lists this ends up being far too preeningly clever for its own good. One to be admired rather than adored.

This story is a gift from the author Oscar Wilde. I loved the imagery, the rich language, and flawed characters! One of my favorites!
