Quick review:
Read this as part of my History of Sci-Fi project (start with the Odyssey and go from there basically). So on that scale, yes, Frankenstein satisfies, it is about a mad scientist after all. It also satisfied on it's sweep, both natural: from Geneva valleys, blue lakes, up to the snowy Alps and out to the cruel, fragile ice of the Artic, and emotional: have you read any gothic novels? I suspect that if I bothered to read Twilight, it would strike me a lot like Frankenstein, which I now consider to be gothic Twilight. It's not bad, but lots of emo-y simps.
