The reader is told early on that the shed is in the back of a house and has been soundproofed. This was my second attempt at reading this book and I am so glad I gave it another try. I was extremely put off by the way it was told from 5-year-old Jack's perspective the first time and decided not to read it. It did take me a while to get used to the writing style this time around, but now having read the whole book, I really appreciate it. It gave such an innocent point of view to the story which made it very touching and almost sweet, even though it's such a sad subject. I would highly enc
