First adult book I've read by BSand, and it reads exactly the same as his YA books. I also didn't think any of the jokes were funny. They literally all read like a middle-aged man wrote them. I did find this really easy to read - I probably got through about 100 pages in an hour and a half, but the book didn't challenge me. It was just written using such simple and basic language. On a year-long Cosmere rereading project, re-visiting Warbreaker was a revelation. Mostly of how my early dislike for Vivenna had resulted in me potentially not reading most of her scenes the first time through.
As always, Brandon's interest in philosophy are what sets this book apart from others. You could of course read it for the interesting magic system, or for the mystery and intrigue. There's also some fighting, though not as much as the epilogue originally promises.
