What Members Thought
Not as good as some, but definitely strong and both dramatic and funny as usual. The book is fast paced and difficult to put down. The plot was much less save-the-world than usual but still fairly intense. A great new smart and brave African American character is brought in who I hope and expect to show up in later books in the series. My oh my can Harry Dresden get himself into some killer situations...literally! Like the others in the series, this one grabs you from the first sentence (Blood leaves no stain on a Warden's grey cloak.) and doesn't let go until the final word. From one disaster to another to another to another. Poor Harry he never knows if he's coming or going. I liked the addition of Molly and am interested in seeing how that plays out.

Every book just gets better and better, I have no idea what I'm going to do when I finish this series! I'm so glad to be back with the Carpenters in this book, I really wanted to know more about them because I'm a sucker for big families. Without giving anything away, I want to see more about Charity in the series! I think she is a really interesting character.

Wow! I forgot how good these books were. It's been far too long since I read the last book in this series, won't make that mistake again! I love the way Butcher is able to tell a complete story and yet keep the series moving forward in new directions. Simply one of the best fantasy series going!
