Harry is depressed and hurting, suffering from the loss of his girlfriend Susan who has left town to deal with the results of their last adventure together. He has neglected his business and his friends and is about to be evicted from his office and his apartment. Then, to make matters worse, the winter Queen of the Faerie saunters in with an offer Harry can’t refuse.

This series is amazeballs! Oh, and I heart Toot!

Now that Harry's actions in the last book have set the stage for a magical war, he's in a lot of trouble. He's given a case by the queen of one faerie faction, and although he does some investigating, this novel is less PI & police procedural than downright solving a puzzle in an urban fantasy world. And so fun. Harry finds that his past continues to haunt him as he tries to stay alive and save the world at the same time. The self-effacing tone & snarky comments made by Harry as he narrates his

He has thoroughly pissed off the White Council (of witches) and is put on trial and basically sent to the Faerie Courts to get one of the Queens to ally with the White Court over the Red Court (the vampires) in the coming war. Mab, queen of the dark fae hires Harry to find out who killed the Summer Knight and find the mantle of power that was stolen from him. Of course, when dealing with the Fae, nothing is as it seems and Harry gets in over his head really fast. Bu

Harry Dresden, wizard, is depressed after the events of the last book. Then the Winter Faerie Queen, Mab, gets Dresden to investigate who killed the Summer Knight and framed her for it. Harry also has to deal with the vampire Red Court trying to kill him and the White Council of wizards being unsure of what to do with him. I really like this series. Lots of action plus humor from Dresden. I like the expanded knowledge of the world of Faerie and the return of characters from earlier books. I'll d

Another great read by James Marsters. I love Billy and the Alphas ~ Harry's young adult werewolf pack. Add some Changelings, a long lost friend and war among the Fey and you'll be zipping along with Harry on his latest quest to save the world.
