Harry is depressed and hurting, suffering from the loss of his girlfriend Susan who has left town to deal with the results of their last adventure together. He has neglected his business and his friends and is about to be evicted from his office and his apartment. Then, to make matters worse, the winter Queen of the Faerie saunters in with an offer Harry can’t refuse.

The formula is wearing thin for me in this fourth book in the series. Harry is taxed to the max, battling ghouls, vampires, wizar

Mab, queen of the dark fae hires Harry to find out who killed the Summer Knight and find the mantle of power that was stolen from him. Of course, when dealing with the Fae, nothing is as it seems and Harry gets in over his head really fast. Bu ...more

Harry Dresden, wizard, is depressed after the events of the last book. Then the Winter Faerie Queen, Mab, gets Dresden to investigate who killed the Summer Knight and framed her for it. Harry also has to deal with the vampire Red Court trying to kill him and the White Council of wizards being unsure of what to do with him. I really like this series. Lots of action plus humor from Dresden. I like the expanded knowledge of the world of Faerie and the return of characters from earlier books. I'll d ...more

Another great read by James Marsters. I love Billy and the Alphas ~ Harry's young adult werewolf pack. Add some Changelings, a long lost friend and war among the Fey and you'll be zipping along with Harry on his latest quest to save the world.
