The Dresden Files is a fascinating series and most of the novels rate four or five stars from me. I particularly liked this one. Lots of action and excitement are found in this novel. Harry is scheduled to duel with an experienced champion from the Red Court of Vampires who, of course, cheats. Susan, Harry's ex-girlfriend, struggling with her new persona as an almost vampire, returns. I always love Harry, but this one dragged a bit for me. Loved seeing Susan again, wish they could be more!

I am really liking this series, but I don't think I can listen to these books on audio. They throw too much information at me and I find that I keep missing stuff, so I may have to actually sit down and read them rather than listen. This story was excellent of course, but what I keep thinking while I read this book is that they should take this whole series and reverse all the genders. Harry should be a girl and Susan and Murphy should be guys. And she should be played by Jennifer Lawrence. I th
