This one deals with werewolves on the loose, and of course Dresden is the only one able to stop it, and again Murphy loses trust in him, tries to arrest him, etc. He has a romantic interest in Susan, the tabloid reporter again, but it's kind of boring.
Well I'm still not all that convinced about these books, still finding the stories only ok, and the descriptions of women to be a bit sexist, but a review I read said it gets better in either book 3 or 4, so I guess I'll re-evaluate after that.

I didn’t like this book as much as the first. It was a bit convoluted for me. I missed Murphy since she wasn’t a huge part of the story and Bob, because who doesn’t love a spirit inside a skull! The basis of the werewolf story worked for me, but the execution was off. I will say, though, the last chapters were excellent…loved seeing Harry in his magical element!

OK. I am hooked. Harry is back in all his glory. After losing Murphy's trust in book one, Harry is trudging along until she reappears and needs his help. This time it seems that werewolves are behind a string of murders. Harry becomes way to involved with the investigation and ends up majorly injured. I really enjoyed the definition of different types of werewolves and how they react/interact in this story. So, Susan move over. I want Harry! 4 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It started out a little slowly for me, but once I got into it, I didn't want to put the book down, which is always a good sign!
I continue to love all the characters and wish Bob the skull was in this book more because I get a kick out of him. They're just very well-written, although I will say I got very frustrated with Murphy at one point because I thought she was acting incredibly stupid for someone who supposedly believes in the supernatural. I think the first book in this series was better. This wasn't a bad book in any way, I'm just not a big fantasy fan.
