I haven't read my last book in this series so long ago, but somehow I managed to forget how much I like this series. And this book is a great addition to it.

This story is not as dark or dramatic as some other books but it does not bother me at all. Of course, we have the dark topic of the apparent suicide of dozens of women, but compared to some of the other books in this series, it is not particularly bloody. The plot is based on an interesting and complicated secret whose solution is by no mea White Night

The plot is based on an interesting and complicated secret whose solution is by no means obvious. It also involves a complicated political intrigue in Butcher's best style. Following her brings real pleasure.

We meet again a full group of well-known characters such as Ramirez and Elaine. I am also very happy that the role of Thomas, Harry's brother, has been accentuated. Although it could of course be even greater. The last scene - brilliant! I loved it! I would like to see more of Thomas in the next books. The other well-known characters do not disappoint either. Lashiel plays an interesting role in the whole situation. In general, we learn new things about the characters we already know and for that I always appreciate Jim Butcher. His characters are constantly evolving, not only the main ones but also the secondary ones.

Harry doesn't disappoint either. He is definitely in shape; smart, stubborn and always willing to help others. Some of his ideas in this book are really great. Harry is also one of the few cases when it doesn't bother me that the narrative is in the first person. Harry is such an interesting character that being in his head and following his thoughts is great entertainment.

This series is also one of those really rare and unique cases when the series doesn't get weaker with subsequent books. It is not biased or repetitive. On the contrary, each book is different, focuses on something different and has a different atmosphere. Keep it up, Butcher.

Although I haven’t planned to read the next book in this series right now, I liked this one so much that I want more. I am seriously considering giving this book 5 stars. It is certainly a strong 4.5 stars. ...more
