From the book jacket: Chloe Brown is a chronically ill computer geek with a goal, a plan, and a list. After almost – but not quite – dying, she’s come up with seven directives to help her “get a life,” and she’s already completed the first: finally moving out of her glamorous family’s mansion. [The last item on her list]: Do something bad. But it’s not easy being bad, even when you’ve written step-by-step guidelines on how to do it correctly. What Chloe

Downloaded the audiobook through the Scribd app. I listened while doing my weekly errands.
An intelligent romance novel. Both main characters are funny and endearing and have their own battles against illnesses that are not visible to the naked eye. The supporting characters add zest and lightness but do not feature heavily in the story overall. I loved all the representation (female main character is black and is not a size zero, chronic illness rep, etc)...such a cute love story!

This book has been on my TBR for quite some time. I finally picked it up this month as my #readforkimberly selection to honor her birthday month. This was a lot of fun! I've read the second in the series and enjoyed it, found the teaser for the third a bit blah so never went back here. But many friends raved about it so I picked it up and really enjoyed it. Red was too good to be true, but that's a plus in a romance novel. Chloe's physical limits were explored with a wry sense of humor, and her defenses around them and Red's automatic acceptance and compassionate but not sentimental approach was wonderful. Even the obligatory final fight ...more

3.5 stars. Chloe Sophia Brown has decided that she needs to Get a Life and she's created a list to make it happen. Redford "Red" Morgan is the superintendent of the building and he makes Chloe his next redo project. Lots of miscommunication frustrated me and them, but besides lots of emotional baggage, they bring mutual attraction and lots of sass. There are several steamy sexy scenes that will put you off if you are adverse to that sort of thing. I mention it, because you might not expect that ...more
