Well, wrap it up friends. I think I just read the best book of 2020, and maybe one of my new all-time favorites. This is the kind of book I know I won’t be able to shut up about and will force into every single person I know until everybody has experienced the magic that is this book.
It’s not often you get a fantasy novel, so rooted in real life that the fantastical elements take a back seat and yet the story still seems so magical.
It’s also not often that you get to see a plus-sized male prot

It took me a very long time to get into this book, more than halfway, before I could read more than a couple of chapters at a time. I did end up finishing the book and gave it 3-stars. I don't read a lot of fantasy so keep that in mind. The lesson in accepting people that are different from yourself was done well. The man is initially strict with following the guidelines in everything that he does, but eventually he learns that the guidelines a ...more

“Hate is loud, but you’ll learn it’s because it’s only a few people shouting desperate to be heard.” Linus

Arthur is probably one of the kindest characters I have ever read. He was so giving and caring of those that were in his care.

Linus had a lot of growth as a character. He was a reclusive character that believed he was happy with his life. When he went out and found more in life he found that he could be happier than he ever thought.

A wonderful book! I was in love from the very beginning but if you are having trouble getting through the first couple of chapters, keep at it. It is so worth it.
