What Members Thought
What can I say about this book that hasn’t been said? It was just as wonderful as everyone said it would be. It would make the most amazing movie. I want to meet all of the kids and hang out on the island with them. The book was like a warm hug, while dealing with tough topics like bullying and loneliness, it also showed hope and acceptance. It deserves all the praise it is receiving.
This book was 100% predictable. With a lot of syrup. Too much syrup. VERY sugary-sweet. Buddy the Elf would approve, joyously.
And what bothered me most, the writing is too juvenile to be categorized as an adult book. YA definitely. Even higher middle-graders I'd give this to. And I get it, the moral. Even though people are different we should love them. Gotcha. Hit me over the head with it a couple more times, will ya?
Its saving grace? I listened to the audio. And it was decent. There were a few ...more

This book hit me right in the feels. Wonderful story, wonderful characters.
