The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue follows Henry 'Monty' Montague, the son of a Lord, who is about to embark on The Grand Tour (no, not the tv show starring Jeremy Clarkson) which will see him touring around Europe, before taking over his father's estate. Joining him on the tour is life-long best friend (and secret crush) Percy and sister Felicity (who they will be dropping off at finishing school in France, much to her disapproval). Monty is hoping for non-stop partying and debauchery ...more

I enjoyed the author's writing style and the characters in this book. The characters are all different from each other but each compliment each other and have a nice part to the story. I also enjoyed the rep for epilepsy (this coming from someone who has it).

This was great!!!

I listened to the audiobook and gave it 5/5 stars.
The narrator was WONDERFUL! Perfect for the book.

This is a diverse read. Our main character (Monty) is bisexual, and is in love with his best friend, who is also a boy. It was cute.

I found that the romance took a backseat to the adventure in the story.
Monty is on a trip when he really screws something up. Because of this screw up, he and his sister and Percy (the best friend/love interest) are on the run from some Frenchmen.

This was a bawdy regency tale that was a tad too long. The author created characters you mostly disliked from the beginning and then spend the rest of the book trying to show you that they are redeemable. The privileged youth in this tale, seemed to do an awful lot with no money!
