Moondance
"A girl, a mocha latte and a naked dead man walk into a bar," I said, turning to the naked dead man sitting in my passenger seat.

Charley is back in another zany adventure. The FBI wants her to look into a kidnapping that occurred 30+ years ago and leads her to more information on Reyes. A new client introduces her to a soul eating demon and she is trying to get Ubie AKA Uncle Bob to ask Cookie out on a date.

Charley is proficient at multitasking. Or perhaps that is the ADD and 24 hour coffee. She

#6 in the Charley Davidson paranormal series

This series just keeps getting better and better, probably because Charley isn't trying so hard to be so funny. She's still smart-alecky and always has a quick comeback, but she's entertaining now rather than annoying. Her personality is developing as she learns more about herself and her capabilities. And the people she surrounds herself with--Reyes, Cookie, Garrett, Angel, Rocket, Amber, Quentin, The Dealer (a new addition), etc. all have their roles

These books never fail to make me laugh. I love how Darynda Jones is able to mix humor with the very serious and sometimes traumatic things that happen to Charley. This book moved very fast and was really hard to put down. It left me anxious to start the next one, which is always a sign that you're doing something right as an author! I'm even finally starting to warm up to Reyes lol. Looking forward to the next one! ...more

My Rating:3.5/5 Stars

WARNING: Spoilers ahead if you have not read any Charley Davidson books leading up to this one.

So far, I have listened to the audiobook of all the Charley Davidson series, and I plan to continue with the audiobooks.

The sixth installment of the Charley Davidson series did not seem as fast-paced and exciting as some of the previous novels, but it still did not let me down.
I've noticed that Darynda Jones typically has one main storyline

3 1/2 actually. My least favorite of the series so far. It felt like she couldn't come up with one mystery to fill a whole book so she put in several. So we have a child abuse story which leads to an abusive parent & suicidal brother sideline, a money laundering car dealer which leads it a WITSAC & Mexican drug cartel sideline, a soul stealing demon sideline, a teenage romance sideline, a scheme to get her Uncle to ask Cookie out, does Garrett have a kid sideline, the naked old man ghost in the ...more

I have more questions now than when I started the book...

As usual there are a ton of things going on and as such Charley doesn't have enough time to give them all the attention they need. There is a dead naked man in her car. Reyes wants an answer. She is hired to get someone's soul back. Cookie needs dating help. She is threatened to find someone. Her dad is acting weird. Someone is following her. And a few other things just to round it all out.

Charley learns more about her powers, meets the De

This series keeps getting better and better. It's such a great experience seeing both the growth of Charley in her powers and she and Reyes in their relationship. All of this with the added benefit of Charley's crazy personality.

If you are not reading this series, where have you been. I never laugh as hard as I do any other time, as I do while immersing myself in the life and times of Charley Davidson.

By the way their is an excerpt in the back from Reyes' pov. Can we get more of that?
