Oh my another adventure with Charley Davidson and my book boyfriend, Reyes Farrow! I so love the snappy repartee between Charley and her BFF Cookie and of course, Reyes. No matter how much is going on in Charley's life, she always has time for a little nookie with her hottie. Yay!

This is a series I hope Ms. Jones nevers gets tired of writing as I could read about Reyes, Charley and Cookie forever.

I really enjoyed this installment. currently, i’m not really into the lovey dovetail stuff.. so whatever, when it comes to all that. BUT, what I really liked was that many plot lines are finally getting pushed forward. Anyways, it did the job of sucking me back into the series.

My Rating:3.5/5 Stars

WARNING: Spoilers ahead if you have not read any Charley Davidson books leading up to this one.

So far, I have listened to the audiobook of all the Charley Davidson series, and I plan to continue with the audiobooks.

I've noticed that Darynda Jones typically has one main storyline

3 1/2 actually. My least favorite of the series so far. It felt like she couldn't come up with one mystery to fill a whole book so she put in several. So we have a child abuse story which leads to an abusive parent & suicidal brother sideline, a money laundering car dealer which leads it a WITSAC & Mexican drug cartel sideline, a soul stealing demon sideline, a teenage romance sideline, a scheme to get her Uncle to ask Cookie out, does Garrett have a kid sideline, the naked old man ghost in the ...more

This series keeps getting better and better. It's such a great experience seeing both the growth of Charley in her powers and she and Reyes in their relationship. All of this with the added benefit of Charley's crazy personality.

If you are not reading this series, where have you been. I never laugh as hard as I do any other time, as I do while immersing myself in the life and times of Charley Davidson.

By the way their is an excerpt in the back from Reyes' pov. Can we get more of that?
