It's official: Molly is my favorite character! She reminds me a little of myself - using alcohol to sooth her sorrows, and a little of the girl I've always wanted to be - strong, beautiful, and fearless. Girls like her are the reason I read YA dystopian/post-apocalyptic. Plus she gives the best advice:

SEQUEL: A continuation or conclusion of a literary work. This reader wanted, expected and was excited by the prospect of more Adventures with Saba and the Sidekick's Rebel Quest. Unfortunately this outing was more a different book rather than a sequel. However in middle book fashion, it brought characters and baggage forward and doesn't end the tale.

I was actually very impressed with this book. Usually I can't stand book 2 of practically any series, but Young's writing and characters always keep me interested. So...

This second book in the Dust Lands trilogy picks up right where Blood Red Road left off. Jack is heading for the storm belt to find Ike's girlfriend, Molly Pratt, to give her the bad news that Ike is dead.
