This book is probably my second favorite book of the series so far, with Bloody Bones still being my first. Bloody Bones had the most in terms of preternatural storyline and fantasy plot, but this book had the most in terms of the romantic relationship development. 4 stars. It feels good to be back in this series. I’ve missed it a lot. This book was awesome. I’ll admit that the beginning took a bit for me to get into but that was completely my fault. It’s been two years since I read book five so there was a lot that I had forgotten but I quickly got into it. Anita is such a badass even though her life is a hot mess in every aspect. She’s got a hit out on her and she’s still dating both Jean Claude and Richard. There’s no dull moments.

So, I don't remember when I read this book, at least 10 years ago, so it's fair to assume that I wouldn't recall much of it but I don't remember ANYTHING! I know that I stopped reading the Blake books when there was more description of sucking a flaccid cock than plot line or killing. But with most books I remember basic plot or pivotal scenes but I get nothing for this. So it's not so much a review of the book as a warning, if you're new to Anita, loved or liked the first few books, stop at 5.
