Oh my gosh, I'm gobsmacked!! This book was so amazing! So many people have recommended this series to me, and they were not wrong. This has everything I never knew that I wanted and needed in a fantasy. If you like high fantasy you should read this. On another positive note, Brandon Sanderson does so well with his female characters. He doesn't constantly describe their bodies, in fact it's super rare in 1,258. What a fantastic book! I have been meaning to read a Brandon Sanderson book for a while but was hesitant to commit myself to a series where each book is 1000+ pages. I wish I had picked this up earlier as it has really scratched my epic fantasy itch that I didn't even realise I had.
The worldbuilding is so immersive and well thought out. It is vast so much so that I know there is still so much to find out about this world and I can't wait to do so as I continue the series.

Amazing!!!!
Brandon Sanderson can build a world. The book starts slow but does speed up towards the end. I found myself more drawn into Shallan's story. I look forward to seeing where the series goes.
