Loved this book, can't believe it took me so long to get to it, but it wasn't what people had said, I mean come on no sex?!?!??! Does this mean I need to keep reading the series for her to get some action?

Thought I should re-read this book before getting back into finishing the series. It's been 20 years since my first reading and while I didn't love it the first time, I liked it enough to continue reading the series for several years. This time around, I didn't like it at all. The characters, the writing, the story - all not to my taste. I thought I knew what this story was going to be about. I had heard lots about the series on the internet and in fanfiction stories. I was wrong.
There were some elements that were familiar and it made it easier to read knowing something about the world that the book is based in. Much though was different to what I expected, especially Anita.
I did not enjoy the book as much as I was expecting. I am, however, intrigued enough to try the next book in the series.

I was really not impressed by this. It had serious potential, but there were just too many things going on, not enough explanation and I personally hated the writing style and found it difficult to follow.
