Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children shot into popularity in a major way, apparently debuting at number 5 on the New York Times bestseller list. A great book ! It was about Jacob who goes to a island that his grandfather would tell him about. This island was suppose to house Miss Peregrine's Home that had amazing children with special talents. Love the photos in the book really lent to the spooky feel of the book. I love all the relationships in book. especially
Jacob and his grandfather. I really look forward to reading the second one.

I read this book in about a day and a half. Not because it was a book I wasn't able to put down but I was sick and wanted to read. I kept waiting for the creepy part the the book let you to believe it would go but that never really happened. Cute story...a little odd...definitely not like anything I had read in a while. It had a lot of potential but just didn't quite live up to what thought it could be. ...more
