What Members Thought
What's to say about this book than has already been said. On that note upon my re-reading of this book i found that i liked it better the second time around than the first. Lizzie grew on me and i liked her more and more. She's now in a three way tie with Emma and Anne Eliot as my favorite heroines in Jane Austen. Darcy though still seems like an emotionless prick. I honestly had no intention of ever reading this, but it was on my book club list so I gave it an attempt. I am contented that I did! It is enticing throughout, with a fantastic social commentary that drives the story. Yep, this was my first Jane Austen.
A classic favorite.
I just can't get enough of this book.The way Mr. Darcy's and Elizabeth's characters developed is really amazing. With every chapter you read there's a lesson you learn.
