A book about dreams, fairy tales, a boy dealing with the loss of his mother, his farher's remarrying, his half brother being born, feeling left out, and about growing up. A wonderful book I never heard of before. ...more
Lindsay Nichols
The Book of Lost Things has a bit of a Pan's Labyrinth feel to it. And a little of Narnia. And maybe a touch of The Fionavar Tapestry. In short, it has that feeling of something you've seen or read before. But it still feels fresh and exciting and interesting.

I loved the dream logic to it all...

At times, this book was a bit predictable, but overall, it was good.

Felt like a film script proposal. The ending was disappointingly predictable and seemed to contradict the idea that happy endings should be avoided.
