The book reminds me of Anthem in many ways. It's almost like a pre-Anthem society that tells a very similar tale. Controlled society, man rebels, man meets girl, girl adores man and also rebels, etc. This story is a bit more involved though, especially regarding the Brotherhood and how there is not just one man against many, but an entire group rebelling (underground). This has been on my to-read list for as long as I can remember (as with most classics really), what a pleasure it was. I can't say I was immediately sucked in, but once I did step into the story properly I was blown away. The world Orwell describes is terrifying and yet so believable when you really look around us today.
