Abso-freaking-lutely awesome! This book had it all: intrigue, mystery, suspense, mistaken identities, clandestine meetings, an insane asylum, and dastardly motives. That's right, I said "dastardly"! Wilkie Collins may just be my new favorite author!! He combines brilliant plot lines with twists and turns that actually make sense when they are revealed, plus he mixes the right amount of humor and character description to breathe life into his characters and make them believable. Awesome...and sooooo well written. But if you don't like words..you won't like it.
It is very very descriptive..which I love.
I enjoyed all the characters..all of them..the good, the bad, the crazy!
I think this is a classic...If it isn't ..it should be.
