Wow, I finally finished Moby Dick! I can't believe it. I read and listened to the book at the same time--anything to help me get through it! At times I'd get bored with the deep descriptions on whales and lines and such, but stuck with it mostly because I liked the story overall. I particularly loved the dramatic ending, which is why I ultimately gave Moby Dick 4 stars. ...more

I can’t give this classic even a single star. One of the most boring books of all time. Pages upon chapters of encyclopedic descriptions of whales and whaling ... literally. Very little action or character development in my opinion.
