After being underwhelmed by this play after reading in high school I decided to give it another go and downloaded the Dublin Gate Theater performance on Librivox.

Again, it went over my head. I thought it was OK but I'm just not smart enough to pick up the play's symbolism or meanings, and this time did not have the luxury of having an English teacher offer their interpretations. This isn't my cup of tea, but I suppose I am glad that I read it. The thing is I had an idea that I might not like it, but instead of running away in fear I just did it. And afterwards I read some online analysis which helped me understand it better. Without that I may have given it only 1 star. The truth is I am incapable of reviewing this one as it seems there is nothing there. It seems to this reader that the book is about nothing.
