Tja... einerseits ein tolles Setting mit interessanter Atmospäre, guten Charakteren und einer tollen Sprache, andererseits... langatmig und anstrengend. Vieles spielt sich im Kopf der Titelheldin ab, so dass man von einem Wirbelwind aus Gedanken überspült wird.
Interessant ist ja auch gerade dieser Stil, aber es war schlicht ermüdend, ihrer Gedankenachterbahn in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart zu folgen.
Insgesamt kommen dabei nichtssagende 3 Sterne heraus.

At one point I was listening to this audiobook and Wyatt overheard a segment and couldn’t help bursting out about it being so much detail about so many things but nothing happening at all.

Yes. That’s what I like about it, the intense descriptions of small things, the way the mind jumps around as it’s distracted by things that remind it of something else. A lot of that felt like the inside of my head.

Virginia Woolf is great writer and all, but I won't apologize (like others did) for not enjoying this book.

The story is written in a way that is very hard to follow.
I normally like novels that are full of characters' thoughts and don't mind the lack of interesting events, but this book felt like random rambling to me. Most of the time I lost the thread of the story and my mind went elsewhere.
