I am not sure where to start. This makes since I think since the book is over 1000+ pages. I think I will start with how this book left me... Too soon.
I was not ready for the ride to be over. I had grown attached to the many characters of this epic novel. I wanted to know what happened next in the third generation. I wanted to know so much more.

Simply brilliant, though I agree with other reviewers that the second epilogue could use a lot of trimming, if not a full excision. Tolstoy repeats himself repetitively. His ideas about history are interesting, but not interesting enough to justify the length of his dissertation about them. Nevertheless, this is merely a minor quibble. The book itself is nothing short of a masterpiece and rightly deserves its reputation as one of the best novels ever written.
