I've seen this book around and finally had a chance to read it. The concept of a town dedicated to the 'rejects' of society sounded original and interesting. I liked how Spindle Cove had a mix between socially awkward shy misses to women who are just too smart for the average Victorian era male. So in that aspect this book is very original and I can see may books in the Spindle Cove Series, at least I hope there will be. Just okay. Superficially it had all the elements that I like, including good writing, but somehow it was just meh. Possibly me rather than the book at fault.
