4 ½ stars – Historical/Regency Romance
Another satisfying, steamy read from Tessa Dare and a great start to a promising new series! I loved the unique storyline, quaint setting, humor, quirky secondary characters, and especially the passionate, fun, and believable romance between a gruff, alpha military hero and spirited spinster heroine, who were perfectly suited for each other and totally combustible together.
I can't wait for the next book, A Week to Be Wicked, to come out! 4 ½ stars! ...more

Susanna and Bram are one of my favorite couples of the year. I loved the mix of intelligence, competence, and vulnerability that both characters possess. Great dialogue and Dare's underappreciated humor are also stengths. I enjoyed my first visit to Spindle Cove and look forward to returning with A Week to Be Wicked.

I have finally finished this book...not from it being a bad book. I just started it when I had a lot of things going on in my life that made me not feel like reading. But I'm so glad I finished this because I absolutely loved Bram!!

Just okay. Superficially it had all the elements that I like, including good writing, but somehow it was just meh. Possibly me rather than the book at fault.

review to come!
