I really enjoyed seeing into the Smythe-Smith family. Honoria and Marcus have a unique sense of humor that I like and you can actually see that their loves is one grown from years of friendship. There wasn't a real mystery to the plot but Marcus comes by a serious injury and through that the couple are linked. The writing is superb but I didn't expect less being a Julia Quinn book. So all in all a decent book.

Julia Quinn delivers an enjoyable romance story set in Victorian England. Her characters are always believable, vunerable, moody, independant and loveable, by someone. Nothing ever turns out like the characters plan. Fate intervenes, love blossoms and the lost return to the fold.
