Becca Fitzpatrick really knows how to get under your skin and bring out all sorts of emotions with her writing. If you thought Hush Hush was good, wait until you read Crescendo.

Outstanding follow up to Hush, Hush - all your questions have been answered. Hush, Hush was a good book, but Crescendo takes it to the next level. Seriously, reading Crescendo was like watching a Jerry Springer episode (in a good way) I never expected what was coming.

Crescendo starts off, with the murder of Nora's father - then fast forwards to where Hush Hush left off; leaving us wondering about the mysterious inhuman guy in black, who opened fire on Nora's dad.

Crescendo is one amazing sequel that I was completely blown away with. Becca Fitzpatrick presented many scenes that completely captured my emotions and had them on edge, more so than in Hush, Hush. I become so invested with Crescendo that I couldn't put the book down. I had to know what was going to happen next. Crescendo is one heck of a wild, twisty, had on my emotions on edge ride. When it was over, I wanted to read it again. Honestly, I didn't want it to be over with.

I really liked that Cres Crescendo is one amazing sequel that I was completely blown away with. Becca Fitzpatrick presented many scenes that completely captured my emotions and had them on edge, more so than in Hush, Hush. I become so invested with Crescendo that I couldn't put the book down. I had to know what was going to happen next. Crescendo is one heck of a wild, twisty, had on my emotions on edge ride. When it was over, I wanted to read it again. Honestly, I didn't want it to be over with.

I really liked that Crescendo picks up right where Hush, Hush left off, but quickly becomes a lot more complicated for Patch and Nora. We learn more about Nora's dad and the dark secrets from his past that shaped his life, and what ties Patch has to that past life. Then there's Marcie Miller. She's one character I haven't cared for, but getting to know her more, I was able to understand her motives a little more clearly. Vee brings the humor to the more serious scenes, as Nora and Vee can't seem to stay out of trouble. Of course, where ever Nora is, Patch isn't too far away and their chemistry is just as good as it was in Hush, Hush.

I liked getting to know the characters more, as they are perceived much differently in Hush, Hush. Crescendo offers many more complex layers to who they are and what some of their twisted motives are. I will admit, I was so frustrated at one of the characters for part of the book. I wanted to reach into the pages and slap some sense into them, but part me also knew that there was some reason for their actions. That's where the plot twist thickens. Just as I thought I had something figured out, Becca threw something else out that had me guessing again. I liked that, as it kept me emotionally invested with the story. I was so absorbed in the story, that I couldn't stop reading to really think about what was really happening. It's one heck of an emotional ride.

Crescendo gave me more than I had hoped for with it's layered characters, twisted plot and a jaw dropping ending that literally had me going, "No way!" Becca did a brilliant job at thrusting me into her world and leaving me hanging at the very end. I'm really looking forward to next year's release, as I need answers. I was jumping all over the place when I won this ARC of Crescendo, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read it. I don't really know how I'm going to do this spoiler free but I'm definitely going to try. Crescendo was amazing!! From the very beginning I knew I was going to be glued to it. Becca has done it once again and made me fall in love with her characters even more, I didn't think that was even possible.

I have to say that there were some frustrating moments where I wanted to scream at I was jumping all over the place when I won this ARC of Crescendo, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read it. I don't really know how I'm going to do this spoiler free but I'm definitely going to try. Crescendo was amazing!! From the very beginning I knew I was going to be glued to it. Becca has done it once again and made me fall in love with her characters even more, I didn't think that was even possible.

I have to say that there were some frustrating moments where I wanted to scream at a certain character or slap he/she (I won't say any names) but I just hoped with all my heart that there was a reason behind it all and that everything would end up OK at the end. Crescendo starts shortly after where Hush,Hush ended and Patch is now Nora's guardian angel but of course just like it says on the synopsis there has to be a lot of complications between them which will suck you right into the story and take you on an emotional rollercoaster of sadness, happiness, anger and some frustration but I loved it all and enjoyed the ride!!

There's a lot more plots and twists in this one, I kept trying to figure out what was going on and who was bad and good but couldn't come up with the right answer and was constantly proven wrong. Then when I got to the amazing part where everything is revealed I swear my eyes were getting dried from not wanting to blink. I can't go into detail about it without giving away spoilers but we get to find out a lot more about what happened to Nora's dad, and some deeper secrets from his past that have to do a lot with Nora. There's a lot of Marcie Millar in this one which wasn't as irritating as I thought it would be but very funny thanks to Vee and Nora who kept getting into very complicating situations that made me laugh. Don't worry there's also plenty of sexy scenes with Patch that will make you swoon and sigh, at least they did to me =). If you loved Hush, Hush I'm sure that you will love Crescendo. Once I got to the ending I was left with my mouth wide open and screaming, it's going to be a very long and torturous year full of speculations while I'm waiting for the next one. ...more

The Story: Since Nora's near-death experience at the end of Hush, Hush, she has enjoyed a few months of happiness with Patch. Having your (hot) boyfriend as your guardian angel certainly has its advantages - that is, until the archangels find out you are in love with him.

Suddenly, Patch becomes distant and when Nora finds out that Patch is seeing her enemy, Marcie Millar, behind her back she is left heartbroken and wondering if he ever cared for her at all.

My Review: One word: AMAZING. I received this book in the mail from Simon & Schuster on Wednesday afternoon and finished it Thursday night (and that's with two small children to take care of). I could not put it down. Crescendo is gripping, Patch is smoldering and Nora faces danger at every turn. Becca brings a whole new level of excitement in Crescendo that will have you melting one moment and on the edge of your seat the next. I felt more connected to the characters in this book and found myself laughing at Vee more times than I can count. Patch was even more irresistible and I didn't think that was possible. I felt Nora's pain cutting me deeply and the ending has me begging for more. Becca has done an incredible job with Crescendo- even better than Hush, Hush (again, how is that possible?) and I cannot wait to read more from her.

Crescendo picks up right where Hush, Hush left off and brings you on even more emotional roller coaster than before. Some questions are answered, but more are brought up and you are left wondering what could possibly happen now.

Nora and Patch have grown closer together, but as with any budding relationship, that first fight can be a doozy, and the close bond they once shared is broken. Patch begins spending more time with Nora's nemesis Marcie, and she finds herself thrown together with the new ...more

I enjoyed Hush Hush, but I loved Crescendo. It moved much faster and had more mystery. The cliffhanger ending was great too. I still find Nora a bit annoying, but I love Patch. I am very pumped for book 3!
