With electrifying romance, action packed and heart wrenching scenes, Julie Kagawa's The Iron Fey series continues to engage me emotionally and leaves me breathless at the end. Her richly developed characters become more vivid, real and stronger as they never falter on their journeys. The Iron Queen deserves more than just 5 stars! Her richly developed characters become more vivid, real and stronger as they never falter on their journeys. The Iron Queen deserves more than just 5 stars! This is a phenomenal book with incredible writing and I enjoyed every moment of being wrapped up in this story.

Talk about an emotional journey. This is my favorite book out of the series! I didn't think the characters could become any more to life than they already were, but Julie has proven me wrong. The emotions from these characters jump right off the pages and I found myself feeling like I was apart of their journey. With each book in the series the characters continue to become more in-depth, more lively and I feel more connected to them.

Let me just say, I am TEAM ASH all the way! Where I faltered on my team alliances earlier, after really getting to know Ash more and seeing how much his character has grown, I've made up my mind. Meghan and Ash's chemistry sizzles and I'll use a word I seldom use, they have a few swoon worthy scenes. Puck and Ash have some of the best scenes together and had a few laugh out loud moments for me. Grimm is a character who surprised me, as we get to see a different side and know a little bit more about him. Meghan Chase has finally really grown into the fiercely independent, strong character I knew she had the potential for. She has grown the most to me, as she finally has earned the respect of some other characters from the series. She has become a favorite heroine of mine.

A heroine's strength comes from the sacrifices she has to make and Julie does a brilliant job with the more emotional scenes in the book. Julie knows how to blend her action, romance, heart break and humor together well with her characters. I really enjoyed how she introduced the new characters, and allowed me to get to see a little bit into the Iron Court (which has changed how I've felt towards them). I'm really looking forward to getting to know them more with her last book in the series, The Iron Knight! The Iron Queen is everything I hoped it would be and more. I didn't think this series could possibly get any better, until I read The Iron Queen and was blown away! This is definitely my favorite book in the series. (So far!) The Iron Fey series is absolutely fantastic. I can't rave about it enough. Definitely tops my list as a favorite series! (May just be my all time favorite!)

The Iron Queen picks up where The Iron Daughter leaves off. The Iron Queen picks up where The Iron Daughter leaves off. Meghan and Ash are in exile, and the false king still trying to takeover all of NeverNever, and is also still after Meghan. It is up to Meghan, Ash, Puck, and of course, the mysterious GRIM, to join forces with the Winter and Summer courts to defeat the false king. It is up to them to save the fey world. (No pressure, right?) :)

Just when you thought you had gotten to know all the characters well, you learn even more about them. I've really enjoyed watching them grow over this series, especially Meghan. With so many responsibilities on her shoulders, she proves to be a strong and determined heroine. We get to see her relationship with Ash grow and flourish. We see how loyal and brave she is, and how she becomes a great leader.

Ash, no longer under the command of his queen, is a completely different person in this book. I loved him before, but after this book, I LOVE him. (Fangirl moment!) We are shown a totally different side of Ash, a side that is sweet and caring, tender and devoted. His love for Meghan is just breathtaking. I adore him. Many, many times he had me crying like a baby.

Puck is still Puck. I love him too. While there was still a bit of bitterness in the beginning on the book, by the end, he was just awesome. So loyal to Meghan, willing to do just about anything for her. I feel awful for him for being the third corner in the love triangle, but I think he's better suited as the best friend.

Grimalkin, and all his wisdom, continues to amaze me. The cat is a mystery! I enjoyed all the new characters that were introduced also. Especially Razor, awww! Even Queen Mab and King Oberon surprised me this time around. We see hints of different sides of them also.

The ending of the book made me cry. I bawled like a little girl. Seriously, I was an emotional mess! All the emtions you feel reading this book... well... I've never had a book touch me like this before. I absolutely love it. I can't get enough! Thank goodness there is going to be a fourth book in the series, that cheers me up.

Mrs. Kagawa... I love your series. They are awesome books. I can't wait to read the next one.

To others, I HIGHLY recommend you reading this series. NOW. Yes, right now. Go get the books, and I'll be waiting to read your reviews to see what you think. :)

I love this series. The characters really make the books & the story is so detailed & creative, I can't helped but get sucked in. I have to admit I was a bit upset/teary-eyed at what happened with Meghan at first, but then I was like- hey, this will work out all right. This will definitely be fun!

I'm totally jazzed that there will be another book coming out & can't wait to read about the upcoming adventures. I love that the first thing they're doing is hunting down Grimalkin! ...more

What a book! Julie Kagawa has done it again! I actually finished reading The Iron Queen a couple of days ago and decided to take my time writing my review. I want to scream at the top of lungs at how good this series is. This was an phenomenal addition to her Iron Fey series.

What can I say? Julie Kagawa has created a series that has now joined my top 5 all time favorites series! For me The Iron Fey series is ranked up there with The In Death series, The Black Dagger Brotherhood series, The Shifter & Soul Screamers series and the House of Night series! I don't know how I can express my feelings into words for this book, I mean pretty much the whole series its amazing but this one just blew me away with it's awesomeness. I don't think this review will do it justice or even make much sense since it's going to be a gushy one once again.

The Iron Queen starts with the promise of yet another battle against evil between the Iron Court and Meghan but it's much more than that, it's about love and romance, friendship and sacrifices, new beginnings and I don't know how I can express my feelings into words for this book, I mean pretty much the whole series its amazing but this one just blew me away with it's awesomeness. I don't think this review will do it justice or even make much sense since it's going to be a gushy one once again.

The Iron Queen starts with the promise of yet another battle against evil between the Iron Court and Meghan but it's much more than that, it's about love and romance, friendship and sacrifices, new beginnings and an amazing journey. It sucks you right into the Nevernever that you don't want to let go of it. I had to read it on my pc so it was a bit more difficult because my eyes get so dry but it was all worth it in the end. I will always sacrifice my dry eyes and vision for Ash! The story begins shortly after Meghan and Ash get kicked out of the Nevernever and starts at a very fast pace that just keeps you on your toes and keeps escalating to an amazing and intense ending that leaves you breathless and flipping the pages, or in my case scrolling down to see if there was more.

We get a lot of scenes with the very funny Puck in this one, you just can't help but love him too, even if you are Team Ash like me, he just has a way to bring out a huge smile on my face when he pops in unexpectedly with some sarcastic comment. We also get to witness Ash and Meghan's love for each other grows stronger. Let me tell you that the scenes with Ash and Meghan are pure epicness, they are unforgettable and definitely will be remembered by the reader as some of the best swoon worthy moments in YA, there's so many sweet quotes that will make you sigh and some that will make you cry, and if you're like me you might even write them down in your favorite notebook to always remember.

There's never really a dull moment in The Iron Fey series and if you haven't picked it up yet I really don't know what you're waiting for. It just keeps getting better and better, the tension just keeps increasing as the story unfolds and you find yourself with your eyes bulging out and your hand covering your mouth keeping hope that it will all eventually end the way you want it to. Julie just pretty much holds your heart and squeezes it as you read the story and doesn't let go until the end. I know it sounds silly but that's just how I felt because I was so immersed in the story. I'm just in awe of her and how she just keeps my emotions on turmoil while I'm reading her books. This is going as one of my favorite series ever, and I truly recommend you check it out even if you don't believe in faery books and be ready for tears. ...more

Move over vampires and angels, make room for the fey. Kagawa has outdone herself with this series. Action, unique creatures, a love story and romance (I'll take Meg and Ash over Bella and Edward anyday), endearing characters, The Iron Queen was a gripping read. Anytime I had to put this book down I went through withdrawal. A must read for fantasy fans (or anyone who enjoys great storytelling). ...more
