An amazing treat from Julie Kagawa, Winter's Passage has everything that I love from The Iron King plus more. I love the way that Julie created her faerie mythology in The Iron King and we see another addition to it in Winter's Passage as she introduces The Hunter which is a very old mythical creature and one of my favorites.

I absolutely love this cover! I really wish I could touch this cover. I mean, it's beautiful. Plus the wolf girl in me adores it. This is one ebook that I really, really wish was a physical book. WOW! Julie packs everything that I love in a good book, into less than 60 pages. Action, romance, and it has a wolf, which was the perfect paranormal character.

What I LOVE about Julie Kagawa's writing is that she knows how to give you just a little bit of everything! She has done that again in Winter's Passage!!! You get just enough action, drama, love, etc. It was definitely a page turner for me. The only thing that saddened me was that I wanted MORE! :-)

This is a novella that should be read after the first book in the series.
I'm so glad I didn't skip it because it's all about Ash's and Meghan's adventure to Tir Na Nog, and their encounters along the way. It's really good.
In book two, The Iron King's Daughter, we don't get the detail of their travel. Meghan is already in the Winter Court ready to face Mab, and their travel is briefly summarized. So it's definitely worth the read. ...more

Kagawa's short story picks up right where The Iron King left off and sets us up for its sequel, The Iron Daughter. Winter's Passage is a little short, even for a short story, but a lot happens in it's 60 pages so it's an exciting, quick read.
