I wanted to read The Iron King by Julie Kagawa to see what all the fuss was about. The book had gotten great reviews, and I was curious...
Well... This book was awesome! I read it in one day! Filled with action and adventure, suspense and even a little bit of romance. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and had me on pins and needles up until the end. Mrs. Kagawa's writing style is wonderful. I was completely wrapped up in the faery world she created. Her descriptions were absolutely delicious, a ...more

I have to admit at first I was little hesitant to read this book and I don't really know why, but I am glad that I did. A friend recommended this book to me (and she normally recommends books I fall in love with :-P) and the minute I opened this book at 7am by 3pm I was done. I could not put it down. The only thing I did not like was that it took a while to really bring the love interest Ash into the story. He is introduced in a couple of chapters, but nothing really big. Once he is in the story

This cover has half of a face, but I don’t even care. I love, love, love the use of the font here and how the swirls continue throughout the cover. Plus, every cover in the series looks great together. They will be awesome sitting on my bookshelf once I acquire The Iron Queen and The Iron Knight (non-ARC version). “The Iron King is a must read!”... well, I would have to agree Gena Showalter. “Iron, ice, a love doomed from the start.” Why did I wait so long to start these books?! I actually think

I couldn't help but admire the cover while reading this book. I first heard through Twitter about this book a few months ago the buzz drew me in. Meagan in the beginning felt like the character that would end up changing more by the end of the book. I couldn't help but feel some connection towards the males, on one hand you have Puck who is the best friend, the one who is always there even when you least expect it. On another hand you have a prince named Ash who at first meeting you don't know w

My thoughts: This was a delight to read. I've been saving these and saving these, but I decided that the holiday break was finally the time to read them. This made me think of Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely series in so many ways!!! To read m ...more

This is somewhere between 4 and 4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this book but it took me a long time to finish it. I don't think it was the book but more the fact that I had so much going on. By the end of it I was sneaking moments just to get through a page or two. I'm excited to read The Iron Daughter now. :)
