I think the first time I read this book that I didn't really get the full brilliance of Singh's vision. But later readings have shown how powerful a character Faith Nightstar is and her passion and romance with Vaungh are therefore much stronger and more intruiging. Their need for each other overcomes so many obstacles and the way in which she relates to Dorrian, Clay and Judd is very interesting. I especially liked her interaction and meeting with Judd. Nalini Singh has me hooked now on this series. I just love the way I can visualise all the details in these stories. Her writing is very vibrant, clear and concise. Lots of yummy sexual tension with Vaughn and Faith. The story was very similar to the first, which didn't bother me too much because the differences were enough to make it unique. We also get a better understanding of some of the other characters and how the netmind works. I am anxious to read on with this series and hope to be caug ...more

It was one of my favorites in the series when I first read it and it's still one of my favorites.
