Day 1: Looking at cover. Cool; this book is about a girl. And presents. Hey, is this author secretly Mariah Carey?
Day 2: NO, this is not Mariah Carey.
Day 3: Oh nooo! Nonono! Stop! Those poor kids!
Day 4: Those awful kids!! (Are they kids?)
Day 5: Everything is terrible.
Day 6: And very gross.

It's been a long time since I completely devoured a book, finishing it in a day and a half. Even when I had to put this book down, it was in the back of my mind to get back to it ASAP. Loved it!

Just awesome. Full of surprises. Really makes you think. Gives the post apocalyptic genre a new twist. The ending is incredible.
I did not love this book the way so many others have. Perhaps there was not enough poetry in the prose or enough science in the fiction? I don't know. I found it a little sappy and contrived. Not every book can be perfect for every reader I know. I did find it readable and was interested in finishing it, just not in any kind of hurry.

An effective twist on the this post-apocalyptic genre. I appreciated that there was a science based cause given for the what happened to people. Satisfying conclusion.
