3.5 🌟 I enjoy a sci-fi story that isn't too complex. David want revenge on the most powerful epic of them all Steelheart whom can't be killed. So trying to determine how to kill a epic that has bullets bounce off him and rockets don't even harm him is harder than you think.
Joining a rebelling group called The Reckoners that's out to kill the epics. David become part of the crew as they put their plan into action.

Interesting story lots of planning was going on I enjoyed. I'll continue the series. ...more

This book started off like a comic book movie and I just couldn't get into it. I did finish it and the author clearly has talent, this one just felt too formulaic. I thought the main character was unrealistic and did not have enough backstory and I felt no real connection with the other characters. Too simplistic and cliche for me, not a lot of depth. ...more

"Where there are villains, there will be hereos. Just wait. They will come."

For such a strong beginning, I thought the middle drug and the ending was disappointing. So many things to be frustrated about. It was hard to get behind some of the themes, theories and unexplained, but I was willing to put that all aside....but the ending was a bit disappointing.

Fast action, nothing missing, nothing to add. Great language, good dialogues. Very fast read, enjoyed it from the beginning til the very end. Unexpected turns and final. Liked this story very much)
