This is so not my kind of book. I tried to read it once several years ago and gave up. So it is a testament to the brilliance of Neil Gaiman's narration of this book that I could listen to it and -- while still not loving the story -- totally loving the writing and the world building that Gaiman does here. In many ways this is Standard Plot #1 - stranger in a strange land. Richard Mayhew the slightly nebishy Scot stops to held an injured young woman on the street and his whole world is turned up ...more
