Legend is a dual perspective book. I liked the dual perspective, because it was flowing, when Day stopped June started and vise versa. The plot is interesting and moves at a good pace, there are several twists that complimated the plot even though some of them were predictable.
I loved how June and Day loved and cared about their family and would do anything for them as well as their siblings did for them.
Can wait to get Prodigy on my hands. This book was borrowed from the library, in the near f

Enjoyable as a quick, fast-paced novel, as long as you don't wonder too much about the world it's set in. I keep thinking I would've enjoyed it more had I read it when it was first published, and I hadn't become jaded with formulaic YA dystopian stories in the meantime (you just know what's going to happen).
I'll probably read the next one, but only because I got it for a cheap price in a bundle. Also, who knows, maybe there'll be more world-building?

I seem to be on a dystopian future kick. It seems to have taken me much too long to add this to Mt Git'r'Read and then to actually get it read. I can't let this happen with the rest of the series. Marie Lu's world-building in a dystopian future is excellent. Grim, militaristic, pandemic...

Your entire family is killed, your country is a lie based on terrorism, slaughter, and murder; you're responsible for getting a friend's mother's head blown up, and suddenly it's time to make out? I wish the love part had been left out as it kept throwing me out of my suspension of disbelief. Where is Katniss when you need her to tell these teens to concentrate on the immediate stuff! ...more

This book was very well written. It has a well thought out story line and well developed characters. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series. I rank this right up there with the Hunger Games and Divergent series.
