I really enjoyed this YA story. Gaiman's characters are just wonderful. You can't help but love Bod (short for Nobody), the baby adopted by the ghosts of a graveyard after he toddles in, escaping the man who has just killed his entire family. Each chapter tells of a specific event in Bod's life as he grows up living between the world of the living and dead. Many of these are like short stories within the book, and their delightful--especially Bod's trip through the "ghoul-gate" and the Danse Mac ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I do not think I would recommend the book for younger children. I think it is appropriate for young adults (14+). I found the characters endearing and interesting. I look forward to reading any further adventures Gaiman may have for Nobody Owens in the future.
